Just Before Nightfall

Just before nightfall on a cold November night I dream. Could it be possible that we will spend the winter in Maui? Hearing the waves, feeling the warm breezes, seeing the glorious colors of flowers and palms, mountains and beaches appeals to my wish list. So as I retire tonight I shall dream for real of events to unfold soon! Shall it be a designed painting this dream?

Falling Back

Looking at the last couple of weeks, I find myself missing motivation for the arts. A schedule change at work and politics and distractions have led me to focus on mediation again. Join me for 10 minutes of meditation. Focus on your favorite place in nature. Begin to let go of the many worries you may have and refresh your mind. Peace, Love, and Joy prevail!

Fall Finally We are entering into a new season. There were more than I care to count days over a hundred degrees here in Northern California. Our backyard is filled each morning with falling yellow leaves. We pray for a nice rain cloud! All of us are working at several part time endeavors to make ends meet as are many Americans. I plan to continue to drive fewer miles and to give my artisan friends more business. The typical shop at the mall Christmas shopping plans are out. In fact, I prefer to focus on lasting gifts to treasure over the years.I hope you are ready to make some changes too! Set a goal today. tropical sunshine and beautiful scent of flowers. I am
ready to swim.

January 2008

The beginning of January was like a river of words springing forth onto paper. Over the years I had quit journaling. This new found expression was easily written. It just reminds me that we all have an abundance of ideas within our minds just waiting to be shared. When it comes to arts and crafts and children this memory surfaced from way back into childhood. If you have children who love to create and invent: Let them play and do not be overly critical about the mess of it. I frequently took my kids to a safe place to "be creative" such as the
back yard on the grass with a cloth under the project.

My mom always was my best fan. Give that child within a piece of drawing paper tomorrow and some pencils and pastels.
Now, go ahead and enjoy a half hour just for your journaling just for you.
